- What’s the difference between DV, OV and EV?
- All three encrypt the same way. DV only validates domain control; OV also verifies the organisation; EV applies the most rigorous identity checks.
- How long does OV validation take?
- Usually a few working days. It depends on the company details matching official registers and on the phone verification.
- How long is an SSL certificate valid for?
- Less and less. Under a CA/Browser Forum agreement, the maximum validity has been 200 days since 15 March 2026; it drops to 100 days in March 2027 and to 47 days in March 2029. That’s why DAEMON treats renewal and reissuance as a continuous process, not a once-a-year chore.
